Thursday, my friend Nikki called me and said"SteinMart is having a sale! Previously to that I was bemoaning the fact that I was going nowhere this Labor Day weekend and everyone around me seemed to be having fun plans. That news is ALL I needed to hear! We went Thursday night during the wild storm and boy did we find great stuff! The next day we decided to bring the girls, Makenna and Aidan on trip number 2. It was so exciting to find clothes that actually fit her long , tall body. Shoes and clothes were 80 percent off! Trip number 3 (that same night) we discovered Stein Mart in Queen Creek (yeah!) what a major treat! Brand spankin' new and filled with goodies. OMG...Nikki and I found the shoe dept. and it was kids in the candy store time!!!! Saturday arrives and I determined that I would be made of steel. No more Stein Mart, done, finito......Then I think, hmmm, those shoes I saw would match the outfit that I bought....Jolene's birthday is this week so I should get her an outfit...the pants that I bought didn't fit after all and I should get back to the store before they are out of my size, color.....so there I was thinking and who calls me? Jolene..."hey, we need to go to Steinmart and pick out an outfit for my birthday party.....it must be fate! 2 more trips to Steinmart on a Saturday! I thought we could not possibly go for anything else (it's bad when the manager greets you by name and offers to carry your packages to your car) but Todd called me after the store closed and asked for shirts for him!
So, here is the good news! Trip number 6 will be Monday and thank goodness the sale will end. I think this was a glorious way to spend Labor Day!

Nie~Nie aka Stephanie Nielsen and her husband, Christian were in a plane crash, last Saturday in St. John's Arizona. For those of you that know this sweet family(and even if you don't), I am posting the different ways that you can help. Her sister, Jane's blog is listed here and keeps everyone updated.

They are in the burn unit at Maricopa county. There is going to be a balloon event at the Arizona temple on Saturday, where they will launch balloons with your well wishes for this family. Keep them all in your prayers....

Todd and I flew the the kids(Cody,Jake,Blu and Makenna) and our really good friends, the Troyaneks, (Dave, Tina,Allison,Ashley,Alyssa,Easton,Josh,Camille and Alexa)
in our private jumbo jet for a 2 week vacation to Puerto Penasco located on the Sea of Cortez...
We stayed in our 1,000,000 beach house and had a fabulous time......ok, so those of you that read" the pioneer woman blog" know that I stole that from her.
As most of you know, we opened this little business called Froots and have not gone anywhere as exotic as Avondale in the last year. I was feeling nostalgic and reminiscing about times we could go places with our kids and not have to worry about silly things like money and stores and employees and well, you know....
We did however, go last August before the madness began and life was simpler....I am posting these pictures more for me to dream on!

My FUNNY Liam

HI GRANDMAMAMA

This is my Grandson, Liam McCoy...His mom is always posting funny stuff he says and believe me , he keeps us laughing. I, however, only have expressive photos of Liam. These were taken in a span of probably 4 minutes. The conversation went like this...(1st picture) "Hi Grandmamama.".Hi Liam.."

"Can I have some cereal? Sure, what kind?" He then lists his favorites(3rd picture reflects this)

The 4th picture is Liam thinking about the fact that I only have one kind of cereal and it's not a fun cereal, either. " Oh Kaaay, can Blu make it for me?"

The last picture is Liam explaining to me (rapidly) why Blu is not making it fast enough nor to his spec's....That boy is just pure Funny, ya gotta laugh!

He is starting Kindergarten this year and I can't wait for the teacher to meet him, the reports should be hilarious of what he will say. I can't wait!

Makenna's 9th birthday party was held at Brunswick bowling center! Wow, it's a great place and the kids had a blast! Grace appears to be a professional bowler she really scored. Thank You to Nikki and Amy for their help as I have not been bowling for 20 years and was out of my element. Thanks guys, we'll do this again!
Makenna 9? is this possible that my baby is 9? ok, before I get all sad and weepy, let me say that having a girl after 5 boys, has been the best! When we found out I was having a girl (shock!)
I said this would be a blessing or I was being punished....well it has been a blessing. She needs to stop growing so tall! I really need her to be young for awhile. What more can I say? I love that girl!
