The video is right after Brandon delivers the news that the stock market had crashed and the bailout defeated! He clutched his heart and yelled but we realized it was not his heart but his wallet...yeah..he'll be fine...The great thing is that I have him on video saying he will spend more of his money....you are welcome, Marie.

Well, the day has finally arrived....less than 2 weeks after realizing my father had turned the big 80....I got a call from Tami, my daughter in law telling me that Jack, dad, Grandpa..had basically
walked over to the fire station and "turned himself in" reporting that his chest was heavy...
It didn't get serious until he was transferred to the Heart hospital and they did a catheter procedure. It is very surreal to sit in this hospital and NOT waiting for a baby to be born but news of a life that may be ending. The cardiac doctor that first approached us told us his heart was abnormal- this sent my mom into a frenzy. by abnormal-she was telling us it was from birth and that was not the problem. There was the endless talk of blockages and valve replacements etc.. He had had a confirmed heart attack and would have to have open heart surgery.
The cool part of this drama is the doctors can hardly believe he's 80! My sons, Colin and Devin
gave my dad a blessing and we are sure the good news that followed was a direct result that heavenly father heard their prayers. Heavenly Father does know each and every one of us, by name. That is so comforting.
The surgeon was stunned that he was in no pain, his color was as if he was just out tanning and that he swims and rides his bike everyday!
He decided to operate yesterday and after 6 or 7 hours, came out and reported that he was doing great! They didn't need a valve, his was better than most 45 yr olds and his chest was even tough to get into! ouch... This morning he is awake and starting to come out of his drug induced coma. Dad's mother lived to 97 and I am sure he will beat that number and reach 100!

I am so glad he is doing better! That would be so scary! I am sure your Mom was beside herself. Steve's dad, had heart surgery last year. The day he returned home from the hospital he had one of the grandkids go get him McDonalds! uggh! :)
I'm so glad your dad is doing well. My dad had a massive heart attack about a year ago. He flat lined twice but was revived. He is doing fine now but I always worry about him. :-)
